As some of you will know, our usual home the Top Room at The Three Tuns Inn, Salop Street, Bishops Castle, Shropshire, SY9 5BW, is closed and undergoing refurbishment at the moment. We are told that it is likely to be completed by our planned start date – we hope that this will be the case so, unless you hear otherwise from us, that’s where you should head.
For the 2026 season, practice and singing out sessions will be on Sunday afternoons, from 3.00pm to 5.00pm. Practices will take place on 15th, 22nd and 29th November. Singing out sessions will be on 6th , 13th and 20th December.
Our 2026 ‘Big Sing’ will be, as usual, on Boxing Day, Saturday 26th December, from around 2.00pm, straight after the Morris Dancing at The Three Tuns.
As last year’s final flourish in St John’s Church, Bishops Castle was such a success we’ve decided to repeat the exercise. We realise that it’s unlikely that anyone will particularly want to sing again on the day after Boxing Day so we have it in mind that, this year, we’ll aim to be doing it on Sunday, 3rd January, again, from 3.00pm to 5.00pm. We’ll confirm this arrangement closer to the time.
